As a hvac contractor the ductwork they have in the house for the forced hot air is likely going to be smaller than what you'd need for air conditioning. Flush it with cold water a few times and the water at the bottom should come out full of crystals. I'm replacing a hot water heater
The existing electrical run has three wires There's a garden hose fitting on it to run the water into a floor drain The hot water heater has two wires
(red), (black), and a ground (green) screw
The two hots (red and black) obviously get connected But what should i do with the heater's ground (green)? Could be possible the once a week timing is related to your weekly hot water usage patterns If you have a water heater that trips overnight and it's happening the day after you do multiple loads of washing, take a bath, etc
Note of course this shouldn't cause problems with a healthy system but understand this may help you avoid. Then you can open the drain at the bottom to empty the water heater from the bottom
