They just don't care about us anymore So i've done a bunch of research and compiled a list of viable alternatives to adobe's creative suite, many of which happen to be completely free and open. The one flaw will be if a client ever wanted to buy the source file In general, if you have the money to shell out, adobe is probably the better option for now since it does have some extra features but if you want a cheaper professional alternative, affinity software is a solid choice.
The adobe suite are professional apps, and if you’re a working professional then the cost is easily worth it and you should be building into your rate as part of your overhead If you’re only an occasional user then it may not be worth it to you I’m a former cs user too and looking back on it now i don’t miss that product structure. Talking about it is risky, but adobe apps are one of the most pirated software out there
